Sutton Bingham Open Mtg - 17-4-2011
« on: March 07, 2011, 12:17:16 PM »

The Sutton Bingham leg of the Southern Travelelrs Series is now only 7 weeks away... that's NEXT MONTH !!

Who's coming??

3 Races - 2 to count, with the first warning signal not before 11.25.

£10 entry per boat, and hot food and drinks are available.

MaxiB has the poster and NoR which will appear on this site soon. They will also appear on the club website soon (www.suttonbinghamsc.net) where you can also find details on how to find us.

From the mill pond of last years open, to the excessive wind of the training event at the end of Feb, I'm hoping for something in between this time.

Only time will tell....

See you all soon.

Less than 2 weeks away now !!!

So far both the Wimbleball and Frensham Opens have been extremely well run and enjoyed healthy attendance from the class.

It would be nice to think that this support will continue for the third leg of the Southern Travellers at the Suton Bingham Open.

The NoR is on the Home page of this site and directions etc can be found at www.sutonbinghamsc.net and we'll hopefully be blessed with more wind than last year.

This year has been my first foray into the world of Southern Travellers, and even at the back I'm thoroughly enjoying it. With more faces and names becoming familiar it would be great to see you all again back out on the water on 17th  :)

See you all soon,

Rich

Hopefully going to be there! The only option at this point is whether we'll have 2 Frensham boats there on only 1

I know of another Frensham boat that has said that he will try to make it...I think he is rather useful by all accounts too

Excellent !!

Shaping up to be good event it seems :)

I'm told the galley will be opening early for the provision of bacon rolls and tea - 1 each free on entry.

Also, and I'm not just using this as an excuse to take the p1ss (honest!) but you might want to be careful when you come down the hill and turn into the club...
the turning into the club is directly after the railway bridge (when coming from the A37)- do not cross the causeway, do not collect £200, do not break your mast !
The picnic area on the other side of the causeway has a height restriction barrier, the height of which is somewhat lower than the end of your mast is likely to be, so not a great choice for turning around in.

...a clever man learns from his mistakes, but a wise man learns from other peoples... :)

See you soon folks !!

Ah Cabbage - how true your words are.....

Trouble is Maxi put similar instructions on the forum last year - and I didn't pay attention.

have a great day - Sorry I won't be there to soak up all the good humour and original jolliness!    ;D
