Dear all

We are intending to start the year with a two day event with the open on the Saturday followed by the Beastie on the Sunday.  The rationale behind this is to make the travelling worthwhile and a good challenging weekend with a variety of events.
Wimbleball SC are kindly prepared to host the extra day when we will provide hot food 'a la'  Mrs Hawkes.
We will be trying to get everyone together on the Sat evening for a social and provide accomodation for those that need it if possible. For those who have not done the Beastie it is an experience not to be missed , a three hour pursuit race on a large lake with interesting wind patterns.
Give us a clue if you will be interested and post below and put it in your diaries!  Will update at a later stage.

Try and make it if you can

Cheers Simon ,'Toastmaker'  1359 ;D

Simon,

I've put it in my diary and hope to be able to make it.

I would need somewhere to stay on Saturday night.

Thanks

Lets get the party started...........

DI Hawkes mentioned after the BM yesterday that he will enquire at the local battlecruiser for room rates on the Sat night.

So who is coming for both days and needs a room? Bubba?

First big event of the SW Series so would be good if we can get a good turnout, the nats is on our doorstep this year so lets really support the series please and get some practice in before the Nats!
Plus no odd speaking Northerners there which is an added bonus  :)

Come on!

oh on then I'll come as you sell the idea so eloquently Slow. I'll think about the accommodation thing, but as I live not far away I don't expect that I will be able to

We have a meeting about it tommorrow night and I will approach the Pub shortly. Whatever happens we were hoping to have the chance for a bit of a social on the Saturday between events.  Would be good at the pub but alternatively bearin in mind the sponsor we could try and put people up and get a curry in.
Whichever it needs the people to support it and I fully understand that could be weather dependant. Effectively it is a two day event with a good chance for the legendary Phantom comeraderie (?) to shine.
If those planning to make the event could show a sign of interest in order to judge numbers I would be very grateful.
Update shortly. ;D
