Phil, its in the wife's diary so I should be coming. Are there any low bridges, or metalwork that we should be aware of? don't want to damage anything on the way in.  ;D

A couple of the guys at the club were asking if they could borrow a Phantom for the open....  these are potential converts from the laser fleet.   We don't have any spares here but is anyone coming down with a double trailer.....?  I know it's a really long shot but if you don't ask... :P :o ;)

Hi Phil
i intend to come and join the island rounding.
I may be up for lending my boat to someone for a race as pond sailing could drive me mad!
See you then.
Regards
Gordon

Depending on other Family commitments I might be able to make it.... Certainly I would like to come and support.  :-\   Will any class measurers be there and willing to measure my boat?  :)  How is the weed at Spinnaker after the warm early summer?

I'll be there and can measure sails but cannot measure boats I'm afraid

No it bloody doesn't! I am not volunteering for doing the boat measurement. Mind you there are two standards of boat, plastic and wooden. If its a plastic I think even Stephen the Squirrel could measure it, a wooden one, then at the moment we need your genius John.

If at some point we could arrange such a session then I would be prepared to sit down and do another guide John and I might even remember my camera this time.

Mine is an Ovington (1266), which I am looking to get measured as it is embarrasingly still on the list of shame.  :-[   If any class measurers are going to attend Spinnaker and are willing, please let me know and I will arrange to arrive early or stay late.  If not, any objection to my sailing with an 'unmeasured' boat as it is out of the authorised mould??

Hi Jeremy

I really don't think anyone will have a problem with you sailing a boat that has not been measured at an open :-)

However not sure 1266 is an ovi, fairly sure first one out was 1269 although I may be wrong! ::)

Jeremy
Get it measured or its not a Phantom - all you need to do is contact the nearest committee member to you and arrange for them to measure it. Legal Phantom, no list of shame, no problems at Nationals or Opens. you know it makes sense.

We'll do the training for the plastic boat - bring Stephen the Squirrel and the camera.
