Just a little clarification Nick.

There are two handicap races in the morning, but we can only play in one of them. There will be fast and slow handicap starts. The split is standard rig Laser, they will be in the slow start.

We are all together in the pursuit.

Thank god for that I though for a minute we might have to do 3 races! How uncouth would that be?  :o

Its whatever your handicap minus the lsdt number = number of minutes sailed. I don't know what ours is now but when it was 1043 we would sail for 104 minutes. Everyone does similarly relative to their py as you would expect.

Hi Ian
It will probabley depend on what Handicap they use.
our PY1035 or the club one of 1015.
so 100 minutes ish for us to race.

Hi Gordon,

I have the go-ahead to get some more printed but it will not be in time for this years events. Jonathan Price the owner of Exmoor Ales attended the Beastie this year and it was realised this year how difficult it can be to recognise the series leader.  As of this weekend a decision has been made to give the leader an item of easily identifiable clothing to single them out for the praise they deserve.  This is not dissimilar to the Tour de France and the yellow jersey.
However due to the differing sizes of helms the item with the least size range will be headgear.  Further more due to the national shrimp problem and the recent identifier of the leader as 'Bubba' who as you may remember was a shrimp fisherman, it has been decided it will be pink in keeping with current affairs and being highly identifiable.
Therefore the leader of the southern Exmoor Ales,Vandecraft sponsored series will have the privelidge of wearing the 'PINK HELMET' at the next event!
And you thought it could not get any more exciting?

Cheers Simon, so kind of you, the only good thing is I can take the pink helmet off at the end of the event, whereas you..... :D

God you must have so much time on your hands during the day to think this stuff up.

No I won't moderate it, I'll just change the discard profile in the series so that Simon Hare has to wear it!

D I

I am more than happy to help design this application. Sounds like a great idea and Bubba should be recognised for being so darn quick.

I believe you can still buy pink ones from vending machines in certain bars although I believe they might have a water melon taste, simply cut two holes for his eyes. Best its not used again  ::)

It would also keep your hair dry, actually would be wasted on Ian  ;)

Hi Simon
What a privilege i am avoiding by being slow and falling in, No pink Helmut for me.

Traffic could be heavy and smelling of garlic Sunday morning as Bath are playing Biarritz,  10am kick off.
