Chew Valley - Southern Travellers
« on: August 31, 2010, 12:06:06 PM »

11th September is the date of the visitors day at chew valley lake sc. We normally hijack it for a round of the travellers and pick up somethe prizes on the day as well as competing for our own.

The format is usually a handicap race in the morning followed by a pursuit in the afternoon. This is a great chance to sail at the biggest lake in the southwest and you can get some stonking sailing in (provided there is wind of course).

Is anyone coming along for a yot?

Simon, here to defend your lead in the series, good. As for sleeping on site...think they don't take kindly to it, not their fault its down to Bristol Water. Might be worth contacting someone via their website mate about places to stay. Also i wouldn't bank on being able to get in the club on the friday night. Sorry can't be more specific but isn't my club.

So Is anyone else actually coming  along? If Not I'll enjoy the racing with the simons. Its a damn great venue and usually really good sailing, does no one want to sail on it?

Hi according to Chew's website, their visitors day is the 10th October
http://www.chewvalleysailing.org.uk/events/open-events-2010

I take it you are not talking about another visitor's day?  I halped Mike pack the boat up yesterday but it looks like I was premature...
