Title: Shoreham 28th Oct ??

Hi again,
After dropping the idea of a one day open alongside club racing due to lack of interest I have been asked to rethink.
My guide on holding open meetings is now that there should be more visitors than volunteers. This would also ensure I'm not sending in race reports to Y&Y with very low attendances that I believe is not showing our class in a very good light. I think next year it might be an idea to gauge interest in a venue before putting it on the calendar.
Shoreham if interested will be 3 races BB & confirmed visitors so far are
Gordon Kingston
Olly Hopkins
Nick Orman
Chris Shelton
A couple at the Nationals said they would have came so if that's the case and any more would like to come please add your names here...

as not to confuse a stupid person are you talking about a 1 day at Shoreham this year?
Message above seems to drift into organisation for next year.

Hi Ivan.
I would love to come but just had foot surgery so out of the game till at least mid November.
Shoreham is a fabulous place to sail so I hope you get the support the club deserves.

Are you going ahead with a 1 day Open Meeting on 28th October? It's less than a wek away and everything seems to have gone quiet on the forum.

Hi Chris,
After asked for interest twice and getting very little, sorry no it's not on.
The forecast looks to be stopping club racing too unless it changes.
You have Burghfield to look forward to and I'll be there to watch you !!

Thanks for letting me know. I fully understand the situation and would agree that it is not worthwhile trying to put something if there is not much commitment to attend. Unless the forecast changes we won't be sailing at Deal on Sunday either.
