Title: Shoreham Cancelled

Hi All,
 We had a committee meeting at Shoreham last night where it became apparent that the contractors using our club to do harbour flood defence work and who should have been finished at the end of February will still be there in May. So we have had to cancel the joint open in May and possibly the Merlin/Osprey in July as we can't see us getting club back until maybe August. We are going to struggle to even club race now...
Thats a clash and a cancellation, I hope things really don't happen in 3s !!!
I think I have had a verbal warning so must be on my first written warning as southern rep...

Real shame but understood, I was just thinking if anyone wanted to come to CCSC to join in with club racing and maybe get Mr Hawkes to run some training (not asked him!) but just looked and CCSC have a Topper event that weekend so will be a busy weekend for club so no go.

Anything else going on that weekend? :-)

Save your energy as the weekend after is the Inlands at Northampton.

No need to save energy for sailing, its also a certain 'Nico's' 50th, getting through that will take a lot of work :-)

That's a real shame for you and the club, I have always enjoyed coming to Shoreham even if I have sampled to much sea water at times.
You guys are always welcome to come and join me (and Edd) here for a bit of sneaky practice.

OK Let me see what I can arrange as a bit of after inlands sea sailing joining in with club racing Saturday pm, dinner at our place then something tuning and short races Sunday.
Who else is interested?
So far Nick, Rich, Me hopefully Edd if he is not being captain of his super yacht somewhere.

now that Shoreham's new wide slipway is open could you reschedule the Shoreham Open for 28 October (alongside club racing) please ??  Tide is excellent that day

If their is any interest in a one day at Shoreham on 28th Oct I will enquire on Sunday. I'm race officer that day so will have to swop, can't watch...

No reschedule in oct of Shoreham open as not much interest...
Hope your all enjoying the wind over the last fortnight, at last some awesome sailing. Check boats and change anything that looks dodgy and avoid breakages at the Nationals !! And see you there.

For some reason this forum seems to have dropped out of use by many. If you have them email people to get a more realistic response. I now ant do Salcombe so was really hoping Shoreham would be on.
