Title: Phantom clubs
Post by: calum on April 20, 2016, 09:21:16 PM
How do I get my club on the map, do you need more than one member at the club? If not would like to see Belwood lake sailing club in Ontario, Canada on the map. Sailed a phantom for years and I am a fully paid up member.

Dont know the answer to your question but have a committee meeting coming up and will find out. What sail number/construction have  you got ?
Are you going to build a Phantom class association up in Canada ?
Chairman Calum has a ring about it...

Thanks

I currently sail 1202 an epoxy boat with carbon rig, brought it over from UK. I used to sail 1094 a beautiful Ledger wooden boat with a carbon rig. Since sailing here I constantly get asked by people where they can get a Phantom. Went as far as looking at getting a couple of boats shipped out with some new albacores going to Toronto but that fell through. I travel to events in Ontario (after agreeing a handicap sort of with US sailing), RS trying to push boats and Melges selling Scows for the more robust gentleman also. With lots of lake sailing and the expanding north American waistline the Phantom would be an ideal boat. :o
