Anyone ?

Do you want to be a bit more specific as to what you need to know.

Where in the coutry are you?

Come to Creeksea this weekend and plenty of people there will be able to show you what to do  :)

Hi Thanks for your reply,
Im stuck at work for the next 2 weeks on 12 hour shifts (been doing this since beginning of April :() so havn't even had the chance to sail the boat.
The previous owner has the control lines set up pretty  well (compared to the wooden boat I had) however a couple of the lines could do with replacing and before doing it i thought i might see if there was a better way.
For instance the boom is attached to the kicker with a series of dyneema loops that go back as far as the mainsheet strops , so wondered about replacing these with a commercially available webbing strap?
Id also like to be able to get into the members area and look at some photos but I cant seem to log in and just need some help from admin.

Leave the dyneema as it is.  This is a good system that most of us use as it allows easy adjustment of the kicker take-off point and probably the mainsheet blocks as well.

Do not do anything that involves holes in the boom!

Get to an open meeting even if its without a boat!  There are plenty in the Eastern area and lots of sailors who will help you sort it out.  Sail it first a few times to see if the previous owner actually had it all sorted...

Good luck.

I was thinking about coming down to creeksea at the weekend, however I'm on nights right through so it may be a bit of an ask to travel down and then back for work at 19:30
May have to make it another time

Is there still a members area of the website/forum?

I’ve just joined and paid for the first time and didn’t know where to look!

Thanks

No, the members section was removed a while ago, all information that was stored in the members section is now open to all.
